The best way to make the most of your stay in the otaku city is becoming your favorite character. There are many stores in Akihabara that can help you achieve just that.

Today we will recommend you a few exciting cosplay stores.

If you are looking for high school uniforms, head for Cosmate

Cosmate is just a few minutes walk from Electric Gate. It has an abundance of female costumes.

You can find it on the fifth floor of a smaller building.

Just follow the signboard at the entrance and use the elevator to climb to the 5th floor.

The interior is packed with school uniforms.

From sailor and blazer-style school uniforms to realistic gym clothes. Many of them are currently used in schools and of excellent quality.

It is a fun store to visit if you want to try sailor uniforms worn by characters from your favorite anime.

This store is on the fifth floor, where you can also buy anime goods and fanzines in another popular chain store.

While ACOS sells anime costumes and accessories, Animate is a huge chain that sells anime goods all over Japan. You can even find a few more Animate stores in Akihabara.

Because of all kind of customers coming to Animate, ACOS handles costumes for men as well as women.

The costumes are so well-made, it is fun enough to just look around without even trying them on.

You can match your costumes with a perfect wig!

Because, both Cosmate and ACOS sell wigs in a variety of sizes and colors, you will definitely be able to find one which will fit your character.

You will also see sample sets which you can use as a reference.

Of course, the staff in both stores are familiar with cosplays so don’t hesitate to ask them if you have any questions.
