Akihabara is known as the otaku city. Many people go to anime shops looking for figures and anime goods, but they forget to check out toy shops, too. We will introduce you a shop where everyone can find something for themselves.
Yodobashi Multimedia Akiba
Some of you may know that Yodobashi is a home appliance retail store. However, they sell toys on the 6th floor of Akiba. There are a lot of games, cards, and dolls for small children, but also very expensive figurines for adult collectors.

Human-sized Mario and Godzilla are placed at the entrance. It is a popular spot for taking pictures.

It was a real adventure checking the sections on the Yodobashi Multimedia Akiba’s 6th floor!
They even have Marvel corner with products inspired by American heroes, such as Captain America and Spiderman.
We also found a bunch of Japanese action characters. It seems that superheroes are a popular theme in Japan, too.
There was a whole Darth Weider’s army in StarWars section.
Seeing it in real life is even more overwhelming. This section has an enormous collection of SW goods.
Judging by the price, these figures are probably not meant for children.

It seems they are all waiting to buy Nintendo game Switch. It is not even noon yet, but it is already sold out. The popularity of games is still not fading.
Even if you are not planning on buying anything, you can enjoy looking at highly detailed figurines and possibly even discover some new interesting characters.
